This webinar offers the opportunity to get to know the Austrian music market and the Waves Vienna Festival better. Ukrainian refugees: Council extends temporary protection until March 2026
On the 25 of June the European Council adopted a decision to extend the temporary protection until 4 March 2026 for the more than 4 million Ukrainians fleeing from Russia’s war of aggression.

The KSK has expanded its service to include free web seminars for a quick overview of artists‘ social insurance and artists’ social security contributions.

New online portal on citizenship and latest information
On 27 June 2024, the main part of the new regulations of the ‘Act on the Modernisation of Citizenship Law’ came into force. As a result of extensive changes to the Citizenship Act, some fundamentally new regulations now apply to citizenship applications - for example, the principle that another nationality must be renounced in the case of naturalisation has been removed. The Federal Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration also published a new website at the end of June 2024. Among other things, there is a ‘Quick Check’ that interested people can use to check whether they meet the requirements for naturalisation.

The Afghanistan Cultural Fund
The new ‘Afghanistan Cultural Fund’ aims to support Afghan cultural workers, especially women, both within the country and in the diaspora.
