28. October 2024: EMMA Masterclass: Visa Essentials for Artist Managers // online, in English
The masterclass provides basic knowledge about work visas for artists working internationally. Get practical advice on navigating visa processes and complying with the constantly evolving regulations. The masterclass is primarily aimed at music managers who want to facilitate smooth international tours and ensure their artists are well prepared. Touring artists - represented by Felix Sodemann - will be a speaker on a panel at the European Music Managers Alliance on the topic of visas. The panel will be moderated by Jess Patridge.

14. November 2024: Input & Q&A „taxation international“ // online, in German spoken language
touring artists – represented by Sebastian Hoffmann – will provide an introduction to the topic of "International taxation" and share important basic knowledge so that you can avoid potential hurdles in your international activities. He will explain practical examples, clarify typical misunderstandings and answer your individual questions.

19. November 2024: Un/gleich/zeitig: Annual Conference of the Berlin Performing Arts Program 2024 – Day 2
Over the course of compact presentations, we will learn more about important cultural policy developments in the metropolitan region of Berlin-Brandenburg and associations and interest groups will share their most challenging tasks with us. Over the course of an interactive workshop on real estate policy issues and demands, we will develop a shared strategy for the expansion and preservation of our cultural spaces in Berlin. A subsequent panel discussion will shed some light on the current challenges of our neighbors on an international level. touring artists – represented by Felix Sodemann – will speak on the topic of (administrative) hurdles for transnational artists.

New publication by On The Move: Cultural Mobility Flows:Mental Health, Well-being and International Cultural Mobility // in English
This publication builds on the ‘Mobility Webinar: Mental Health, Well-Being and International Cultural Mobility’, which explored the impact of international cultural mobility on the mental health and well-being of artists and cultural workers. It also follows on from recent online and in-person initiatives conducted by members of On the Move to explore the positive and negative impacts of international cultural mobility on mental health and wellbeing.

New publication: Bilateral checklist for temporary work in the Czech Republic and Germany
The Arts and Theatre Institute and touring artists, Mobility Information Points in the Czech Republic (CzechMobility.info) and Germany, have developed the bilateral checklist to support artists and cultural operators in legal and administrative procedures related to projects between these countries

Easy Border is a simple, user-friendly navigator that guides you to the right European Commission services for your cross-border needs.
The intuitive tool supports individuals as well as public and private organisations throughout the European Union and in Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.

Do you already know Kultur Business Zukunft (KUBUZZ)? // in Germann
KUBUZZ is a further education and coaching programme in Baden-Württemberg that supports freelance artists and cultural professionals from all sectors with the challenges of self-employment. It helps them to deal with planning, financing and marketing issues. KUBUZZ answers questions on the topic of artistic self-employment inworkshops, coaching sessions and via e-learning. The programme also offers opportunities for exchange.

Note:Submit applications for the allocation of VAT ID numbers in good time // in German
The allocation of the business identification number will have a technical impact on the allocation of VAT ID numbers. The BZSt therefore recommends that applications for the allocation of VAT ID numbers be submitted in good time.
The business identification number (W-IdNr.) is expected to be issued automatically by the BZSt to every economically active person from November 2024. It will have the same structure as the VAT identification number (USt-IdNr.). However, these are two separate identification numbers.
