The utilisation concept envisages that up to three scholarship holders - young artists or academics from different art disciplines - can each live, work and present the results of their work in the "Rote Ochsen" for up to nine months. The idea is to found a support association in order to involve a broader public in the organisation and self-presentation of the Künstlerhof. On the one hand, a varied range of artistic activities should arouse the interest of the population, on the other hand, it should also appeal to as large a circle of young artists and scientists as possible. Thus, the scholarships to be awarded should radiate a high degree of attractiveness. The aim of the Künstlerhof is not only to offer artists from the region a working environment, but also to promote supra-regional and international cooperation and thus understanding. This means that not only the immediate results during the stay in Schleusingen are important, but also the connections that lead to long-term and far-reaching permanent influence on the artists' work. As a rule, the grants are awarded for the period from 1 May to 31 October. In addition to artists, scholars in the respective disciplines may also apply. The Board of Trustees and the Executive Board reserve the right to specify a common theme for the scholarship holders. www.roter-ochse-schleusingen.de/11_29_Die-Stipendiaten_Ausschreibung-der-Stipendien.html

Film history and contemporary artistic work with digital and analogue film techniques have been closely intertwined for many years. The almost infinitely growing aesthetic diversity of film has revolutionised the development of narrative, but above all documentary forms in cinema as well as in the visual arts. Nevertheless, there is no institution that works through, collects and exhibits this development in theory and practice: The exhibition culture still separates film and art today. This is where the FILM FELD FORSCHUNG project comes in: A centre for artistic film is to be created. Activities such as the Arsenal Summer School, which already takes place annually in cooperation with the Arsenal - Institute for Film and Video Art, workshops, seminars, conferences, as well as year-round exhibition projects and events are envisaged. www.silent-green.net/en/film-feld-forschung/about-us
